Practices on Wednesday, August 16 are cancelled. Here is the information we received from THPRD:
We will be shutting down all fields again today due to the expected heat. Our goal is to keep all of the athletes safe. Please let all that are affiliated with your organization that are scheduled on THPRD fields that fields are closed and lighting schedules will be cancelled for the day. Looking at the forecast, this will hopefully be the last day in the current heatwave that we need to do this. We are looking hopefully for Thursday.

Unless you hear otherwise, we expect the fields on Thursday to be open and practices allowed. It will still be hot so, if you hold practice, please use common sense and take all necessary precautions: please give lots of water breaks in the shade, lower the intensity of activities, consider shortening the practice, and closely monitor your kids to keep them safe. Please communicate with your parents in a timely manner about your practices.
