Registration for the HS Rec Coed program opens on May 10. Regular registration continues until August 15..
High School Rec players will continue to receive a SWSC jersey for the coming season.
Who can play
The High School Recreational program is designed for High School age players that are not participating on any High School team. The teams are coed and all grade levels (9-12) play together on the same team although we do try to split players by grade with 9th/10th graders playing together as well as 11th/12th players. Note there is always some overlap.. Somerset West serves the Westview High School area although players from outside this area are welcome to register with us.
Games and Practice
Typically there are 2 practices per week. Games are played on Saturday. High School Rec teams will play 8 games.
Teams
The league is composed of teams from high schools within the Tualatin Hills Park and Rec District (THRPD) and our extended area clubs (Sherwood, Tigard and Tualatin).
Season Schedule
Fall practices will start in August with league play beginning in September.
Registration
Registration for the Fall 2025 High School Recreational Soccer season opens on May 10.
If your player is planning on trying out for their high school team but wants to play HSRec if not selected. Please register with us during the summer. If they are selected for a High School team, simply contact us in August and we will refund your registration fees.
Please register ASAP! This will allow us to create our teams and recruit coaches. If you are planning to try-out for your high school team, we still recommend that you register with SWSC. If you are selected for one of your high school teams, just let us know once try-outs are done and we will provide you a full refund.
Note that we do our best to place all players who register during the regular registration periods but this is dependent on having enough coaches sign up. In the rare event (it has only happened twice in many years) that we cannot recruit enough coaches, we will do our best to provide options for those affected players with other clubs and will fully refund their SWSC registration fees.
We realize that finances may be a challenge for families this year. If that is the case for you, we ask that you first contact the THPRD Family Assistance program who may be able to cover some/all of the registration fee. If THPRD assistance is not available, please send an email to registrar@somersetwestsoccer.org to request a club scholarship. We will provide you instructions on how to register in that case.
Note: For Fall 2025, THPRD has informed us that they cannot process any requests for financial assistance until after July 1. If you plan to use THPRD FA funds, please email the registrar (registrar@somersetwestsoccer.org) and let us know. Include your player’s name(s) and grade/team. We will provide you a coupon code to register and after July 1, you can complete your request with THPRD and they will send us the registration funds directly.
If you have any questions, please email registrar@somersetwestsoccer.org.
We recommend that you register online. We are using the same online provider as last year, so if you have an existing account, please use your existing username and password. If you cannot remember these, you can still register using your lastname, email address and zip code. Please see the instructions on the top-level Registration page.
If you cannot register online, complete a paper form and mail it, with a check made out to SWSC, to the address on the form. Registration forms are available by sending an email to registrar@somersetwestsoccer.org.
If you have any questions about soccer registration, please email registrar@somersetwestsoccer.org.
